Dr. Euell Francis of X-Gen finds the cure for Malaria. Names it PANGION-V1. Dr. Euell is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in medicine and is regarded as a hero around the world.

September 8, 2010
PANGION-V1 is given out to the public and hospitals begin using it. It is a great success and Malaria begins to die down.

December 18, 2010
Dr. Euell notices mutations in PANGION-V1 and starts researching. Two days later reports spread that the Malaria is coming back in victims that had it, but are now worse than before. Ashamed and disgraced, Dr. Euell makes PANGION-1 a private project.

March 10, 2011
Dr. Euell finds an anti-virus for PANGION-V1 and continues research. He names is ANTI-PANGION.

April 15, 2011
After successfully figuring out the reason for PANGION-V1's failure, Dr. Euell and his new assistant Dr. William Parker try to resurface the news.

April 17, 2011
Dr. Euell is found dead in his office with a bullet in his head and all of his research gone. The project has been stolen. Dr. Parker is main suspect and facility is put on high alert. During the lockdown they find Dr. Parker and take him for questioning.

March 18, 2011
Dr. Parker is held in solitary confinement after being found with PANGION-V1 on him. He is found dead three hours after being admitted. While he is being carried away he reanimates and bites one of the security officers. The entire facility is put on lockdown after the incident.

March 28, 2011
X-Gen is shut down and everything is kept locked inside, forgotten.

August 13, 2011
After many reports, a team is sent down to X-Gen to check on the area. Upon unlocking the facility they find one sole survivor, Claire Dylan. The team rescues her and takes her to the city.

November 26, 2011
Claire is let out of rehabilitation and allowed to live normally now. When she is sent outside she attacks a family of three. The family dies shortly after. A couple of hours later the family rises and kills a couple.

January 3, 2012
City police force is sent in to investigate and dissolve the problem. They all die on their mission.

January 4, 2012
PANGION-V1 is found inside the dead bodies of the police officers and the vaccine is researched further.

June 30, 2012
Attacks grow and city is put on lockdown in attempts to contain the infection. Only certain important people are allowed to leave.

July 4, 2012
Many people begin to be infected and killed by PANGION-V1 and it makes it to the border wall around the city. Authorities close down every entrance to the city. No more are allowed to leave the city. This fails as infected rate rises and soon the gates are overrun and infection gets out.

August 25, 2012
Countries that used PANGION-V1 undergo the same symptoms and soon collapse from infection. Earth's population drops quickly.

December 31, 2012
The entire world goes through a total blackout. All technology shuts off and the world becomes dark.

May 14, 2013
Only 10% of Earth's population remains after infection and blackout. ANTI-PANGION has not been seen since its discovery by Dr. Euell.

The population continues to drop and the undead have taken over the world. Humans are now at the bottom of the food chain. After some research and first hand experiences though, some humans have developed resistance to PANGION-V1. Organizations hunt them down and continue to search for a cure to the world-wide pandemic.
